Brush With Birds
Brush With Birds
A day to paint, pause and be inspired…
Step away from the everyday and spend a beautiful day immersed in watercolour, nature and creativity at The Heritage Collective in Cottesloe.
Set in a gorgeous historic building surrounded by pretty gardens and just moments from the beach, this is more than a painting workshop — it’s a creative escape for the day.
Our subject is a quintessentially Australian pairing: an enchanting Variegated Fairy Wren amongst the flowers and foliage of Emu Bush. With gentle guidance, you’ll bring this charming piece of the Australian bush to life in watercolour while learning new techniques along the way.
There’s no rushing, no pressure and no special drawing skills required — just a beautiful setting, good company, delicious food and the pleasure of spending a whole day creating.
Whether you come on your own or bring a friend, expect a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, plenty of creative conversation and the chance to completely switch off for a while.
For: Watercolour artists with some experience who would enjoy creating a detailed Australian native artwork in beautiful surroundings.
What to bring: Your favourite watercolour brushes if you have them; brushes will also be available to borrow. Everything else is provided. Bring a water bottle and anything else you need for a comfortable day of painting.
Your artwork: You’ll leave with your A4 Variegated Fairy Wren and Emu Bush watercolour, painted on 100% cotton paper and ready to frame and treasure. You’re welcome to bring a frame and mat with an A4 opening, or arrange to purchase one from me in advance.
